About us

Billion Quran Khatam brings Muslims from every corner of the world together around the Book of Allah. Every Juz you recite, wherever you are, joins the recitations of others to complete Qurans together, one khatam after another.

Our mission

Complete Billion Quran Khatams

Together we are aiming for one billion completed khatams, and we will keep going beyond that, in sha Allah. Every recitation, from a single Juz to a full Quran, is part of that journey.

How it works

• Each open khatam has 30 places, one for every Juz.
• When you finish reciting a Juz, you log it here and it fills that Juz's place in an open khatam.
• When all 30 places are filled, a khatam is completed and added to the global count.
• You can also log a full Quran that you have completed yourself.

How to be part of it

1. Create a free accountSign in with Google or Facebook, or register with your email. Add your country and city so your recitations count for your community.
2. Choose a JuzThe home page shows the Juz most needed to complete open khatams. Tap "I'll recite this" to reserve one, and please complete it within 3 days so it can be passed on if needed.
3. Recite and log itRecite from your mushaf or your favourite app. When you finish, open Submit, tick the Juz you completed and submit. You can log several at once.
4. Keep goingCome back whenever you finish another Juz. Your city and country rise on the leaderboards, and every Juz brings the next khatam closer.

Prefer not to be named? Choose Anonymous on your Profile page. Your recitations still count for your city and country.

How you can support

• Recite regularly. Even one Juz a day, or 1 or 2 Juz a week, recited consistently, makes a difference.
• Invite others. Share billionqurankhatam.com with family and friends, your masjid, your Quran class and your WhatsApp groups. The more of us there are, the faster khatams are completed.
• Make dua. Remember this effort and everyone taking part in your duas.
• Help with languages. We want everyone to be able to take part in their own language. If you can help translate, please get in touch.

Our commitments

• Free for everyone, always.
• Every submission is an amanah. Please log only what you have recited.
• Your personal details stay private. See our privacy policy.
