Billion Quran Khatam (billionqurankhatam.com) brings readers together to complete Quran khatams. We collect only what we need to run it.
What we collect
If you register with email, we store your name, email address, mobile number (if you give one), gender, country, city and a securely hashed password (we never store the password itself). If you sign in with Google or Facebook we receive your name, email address and profile picture from that service, and you add your country and city. For each submission we store which Juz (or a full Quran) you submitted, when, and the country and city on your profile at that time.
How we use it
To run the global counter and leaderboards, to keep submissions fair, and to let administrators review unusual activity. Your email, mobile number and gender are never shown publicly. If you choose Anonymous, your name is not shown anywhere on the site; your recitations still count for your city and country.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal data. We do not publish Quran text or track what you read. We do not post to your Google or Facebook account.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages they use. It sets cookies and receives your IP address (shortened) and basic device and browser information. Visitors in the European Union, the UK and Switzerland are asked first and Analytics only runs if they accept; you can change your choice by clearing this site's cookies.
Emails
We send emails only for your account: sign-up and password codes, and group khatam notices when an organizer adds you or assigns you a portion.
Where data is kept
Your data is stored securely with our hosting providers. Google and Facebook sign-in are handled under their own privacy policies.
Your choices
You can edit your profile, switch to Anonymous, or delete your account at any time from your Profile page. See data deletion. Questions: contact@billionqurankhatam.com
